New Hanover HS bomb threat investigated
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Officers searched New Hanover High School this afternoon after a reported bomb threat.
Deputies say the call came around 3 p.m. Students were evacuated to Williston Middle School. Our partners at the StarNews report buses that normally take students home picked them up at Williston.
Traffic was impacted by this investigation, as some roads around the school were closed off. Market Street reopened just after 5 p.m. as officers cleared the scene.
Calling in a false bomb threat is a crime.
