Trees turn color at Lumina Station
While some leaves change color for fall, you will see a different color than you are used to if you look at the trees in Lumina Station.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To help raise money to support breast cancer research, Lumina Station is asking customers to help decorate the trees with pink ribbons. With a donation, you can add the name of some one close to you who has been affected by breast cancer.
“By the end of the month we hope to see so many ribbons that it’s just a really compelling and poignant visual that suggests how ubiquitous the disease of breast cancer is,” said Lumina Station’s Margee Herring.
All of the money raised by the campaign will benefit New Hanover Regional Medical Center’s Pink Ribbon Fund. The Pink Ribbon Fund helps provide mammograms for uninsured and under insured women.
