WILMINGTON, NC (StarNews) — The foreclosure auction of Independence Mall has been postponed for an eighth time since last year.
An auction scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday was rescheduled to July 12, according to attorney Andrew McVey, who has been handling the public auction procedure.
The mall’s lienholder, JP Morgan Chase, has pushed back the sale since the first foreclosure auction was scheduled for May 2015. It previously continued the sale dates in October, November, December, January, February and April.
