Mother, son arrested in Onslow County murder

Mother and son, both in this country illegally, have been charged with murder in Onslow County.

Victoria Hernandez and her son Ricardo are charged with fatally stabbing Aredelio Mayo. His body was found in a home on Highway 172 near Hubert.

Upon checking with US Customs after their arrest, Onslow County deputies learned that the Hernandez’s were in this country illegally.

Their first court appearance is Tuesday.
