More information in Magnolia plane crash

The pilot killed when his experimental plane went down in Duplin County Monday took off from Wilmington.

The Federal Aviation Administration is still looking into why the single engine, two seater went down in a wooded area Monday afternoon near the town of Magnolia.

First responders said it appeared the plane did a nose dive into the ground.

The plane had taken off from Air Wilmington, near ILM. It was headed to a small airport near Raleigh.
