No one hurt in Wilmington garage fire

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Crews with the Wilmington Fire Department responded to a report of a house fire Thursday afternoon.

According to a WFD spokesman, they responded to a home in the 1000-block of 43rd Street before 2 p.m. They said crews saw flames and smoke coming from the detached garage when they arrived. The garage sustained heavy damage, and two nearby homes were also damaged.

There were no reported injuries.
