Air draft permits up for discussion at two Titan Cement forums Tuesday night

The next step in the Titan Cement saga takes place Tuesday. Carolina Cement, a Titan subsidiary, hopes to open a cement plant in Castle Hayne, but the company has met some strong opposition from local residents.

Tuesday, the state will hold two public forums to discuss air draft permits, which will set air quality standards for the new facility.

The hearings are at the BB & T Auditorium on the North Campus of Cape Fear Community College. The first forum is from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. The second runs from 6:30 until 9:00 p.m.
