State bar recognizes Soles for 50 years of membership

Although currently facing his own legal problems, State Senator RC Soles has been practicing law for half a century. This week, the state bar recognized Soles for 50 years of membership.

Soles was one of 34 lawyers honored for the achievement.

“It’s just wonderful to know that the people have respected the ability that I have gained through the law school, the work ethic that I’ve had, and the practice has been very successful. I’m just really happy,” said Soles.

Soles would not talk Friday about the ongoing SBI investigations into his shooting of a former legal client at Soles’ home back in August and accusations of sexual misconduct by the senator.
