Winter Park Elementary shows off the “new” building
After a year-long renovation, the doors of Winter Park Elementary were officially re-opened Tuesday.
More than 300 students at the school are now enjoying an updated building that is more energy efficient and has new technology in the classrooms.
The school is almost 100 years old. Principal Lynn Fulton said that she wanted to keep ties to the school’s history. “We didn’t want significant changes. We didn’t want the culture and the feel to change, and we are so ecstatic with the way its come out, so that there’s a nice blending with the old historical feel and the new technology and mechanics.”
Fulton said students and teachers are thrilled with their new facilities.
