Deputies identify 2015 drowning victim

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Deputies said they now know the identity of the man who drowned at Carolina Beach State Park.

A Hispanic male was found at the park in August of 2015. Deputies said he has been identified as Martian Altunar Alvarez of Siler City. They said his identity was confirmed using fingerprints.

No other details were released.
