Wilmington Police looking for bank robber

Wilmington Police are on the hunt for a bank robber. The robbery happened just before 11:00 Tuesday morning at the Bank of America at the corner of Independence and Oleander.

Witnesses say a man handed a teller a note demanding money. He did not show a weapon, but the teller handed over cash, and the man left on foot.

He is described as a white male in his 40’s or 50’s, about 5’7” and 170 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans, a burgundy jacket, and a panama-style hat.

The man had a beard and moustache and was wearing glasses.
