Man behind bars after firing gun into Leland home

A Leland man is behind bars after shooting an assault weapon, much like an AK-47 into a home Sunday.

According to police, Robin Ganey returned to a home on Village Road after an incident earlier in the day.

That’s when he fired 18 shots at the house. Three adults and one young child were inside.

Police arrested Ganey while he was still outside the house.

“The reason for the dispute is still under investigation, but I will tell you that it was not a domestic, not a domestic related incident,” said Sgt. John Keel.

Ganey is being held at the Brunswick County jail under $200,000 bond.
