Arrest made in lotto larceny

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Deputies with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office said they’ve made an arrest in a recent theft of lottery tickets.

Deputies said the man pictured shirtless in the above surveillance pictures took an undetermined amount of lottery tickets from the Tommy’s Mini Mart on Mt. Misery Road this past Sunday. They said some of those tickets were later cashed in at another location.

Friday afternoon, the sheriff’s office posted on the Facebook page they charged David Robert Wells, 42, with misdemeanor larceny and attempting to obtain property under false pretense.
