WPD: Man kicks out patrol car window during arrest for shooting

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police arrested a man who they said shot up three cars and a house early Thursday.

A police spokeswoman said it happened in the 200 block of S. 11th Street just after midnight.

Antonio Blake Spencer, 28, is charged with resisting arrest and discharging a firearm within city limits. The New Hanover County Jail Website shows Spencer also faces several charges for property damage.

Police said Spencer ran from the scene after officers responded to a shots fired call, and was arrested a short time later.

During the arrest, the spokeswoman said he kicked out the back window of a patrol car. Officers said they think he was under the influence of narcotics at the time.
