Results being protested in Columbus County
Three candidates in Columbus County are protesting the results of last month’s election.
Candidates in the Fair Bluff and Sandyfield mayoral races, as well as the Brunswick town commissioner, filed the protests.
The candidates allege several voters were not residents of the respective towns.
Monday, the Board of Elections heard the protests at Southeastern Community College. If the board decides the protests could change the result, they could decide to hold a new election.
