NHRMC one of top hospitals for organ donations

New Hanover Regional Medical Center is one of the top hospitals in the nation for organ donations.

The Department of Health and Human Services handed out 428 awards to hospitals with the highest donation rates. New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington was among six local hospitals to receive the Medal of Honor.

UNC Hosptial in Chapel Hill, Wake-Med in Raleigh, North Carolina Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, and Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro were also recognized for their organ donation.
