South Brunswick High program receives nice gift

South Brunswick High School’s aquaculture program got a nice gift Tuesday. The Coastal Conservation Association presented a $1,500 check to support the program’s flounder hatchery.

The money will be used to help train students in marine fisheries, raise more flounder and pay for necessary supplies.

Aquaculture students also won a $20,000 solar panel and generator from Progress Energy. They will use it to run the aerators that provide oxygen for fish in ponds.
