WILMINGTON, NC (StarNews) — A fast food manager foiled an armed robbery of the restaurant early Wednesday when he ran back inside the building after being confronted outside by a gunman.
The incident happened at 1:10 a.m. as employees of the McDonald’s at 2702 S. College Road were leaving the business, said Wilmington Police Department spokeswoman Linda Rawley.
When the staff was outside, two masked men — one who had a gun — approached, Rawley said.
