Governor declares State of Emergency to deal with winter weather
There was no snow here today as some people hoped, but cold weather continues to dominate the state.
Today Gov. Bev Perdue declared a State of Emergency to make sure fuel supplies can be delivered across the state as the cold weather continues. She temporarily suspended regulations to allow truck drivers delivering fuel oil, diesel, gasoline, kerosene, propane and liquid petroleum gas to work more hours.
