Brunswick Town/Fort Anderson reopens after break-in
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — After criminals stole rare artifacts from a beloved historic site, a spokesman with Brunswick Town/Ft. Anderson said they are back open to visitors.

The break-in happened over the weekend. Officials said three civil war buttons were stolen and the facility was damaged during the break-in. There have been no arrests in the case.
Site manager Jim McKee said they have been getting an overwhelming amount of support.
“It’s been a long 48 hours I can tell you, but the community support and the support we’ve been getting all across the country has really helped me and the staff get through this,” McKee said.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office.
