Deputies: Teen shot in Shallotte

SHALLOTTE, NC (WWAY) — Deputies with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a Sunday night shooting.

They said they received a call just before 9 p.m. that a 17-year-old male had been shot. Deputies said the caller met EMS at the Pleasant Hill Church on Bricklanding Road and EMS transported the victim to Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach.

There’s no word on the teen’s condition. Deputies believe the incident is an isolated case.
