Wilmington voters will decide on parks bond
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington City Council members put a parks bond up to the voters Tuesday night.
They unanimously approved a resolution to put a bond referendum on the November ballot.
Voters will decide whether they want to approve more than $30.4 million in bonds to build more parks and recreational facilities in the Port City. Those include North Waterfront Park, a municipal golf course, and a soccer complex.
Mayor Bill Saffo said the last time voters passed a parks bond was in 2006.
