Pender Co. names new emergency management chief

Pender County has a new Emergency Management Director. The county introduced Charles “Tom” Collins to the post today.

Colins has served as the Eastern Branch Manager for the state Division of Emergency Management for the past 13 years. He replaces Eddie King, who stepped down in July. Deputy Director Charles Newman has been running the county’s Emergency Management Department for the past six months.
