Former cop sentenced for kiddie porn

The former head of a Wilmington private security firm will spend more than a decade in prison. A federal judge today sentenced Joe Guarascio to 15 years in prison followed by a life term of supervised probation.

In September Guarascio pleaded guilty to manufacturing child pornography. In October 2008, a 17-year-old reported that Guarascio, a former New York police officer, had sexually assaulted her and a 14-year-old. Deputies found sexually explicit photos of the 17-year-old on Guarascio’s phone and more than three-thousand images of child porn on his personal computer.
