Murrayville principal wins regional honor

A New Hanover County principal has been selected Regional Principal of the Year.

Murrayville Elementary’s Julie Duclos-Greenwood got the award from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction and the Wachovia Foundation. She wins $1,000 for her school and another grand for for personal use.

Duclos-Greenwood was named New Hanover County Principal of the Year last September. She is now a one of eight principals up for the state title. The state Principal of the Year will be announced April 1.
