Southport-Fort Fisher Ferry runs limited Sunday

The Southport-Fort Fisher Ferry will run an abbreviated schedule Sunday, but it has nothing to do with the weather.

A crew will take the Motor Vessel Neuse, which has been on loan, back to Cherry Branch. In exchange, the MV Southport, which has been at the state shipyard for maintenance, will come back. The normal schedule will resume Monday morning.

Sunday’s schedule will be:

* Departing from Southport at 5:30 a.m., 7, 8:30, 11:30, 1 p.m., 2:30 and 4; and
* Departing from Fort Fisher at 6:15 a.m., 7:45, 9:15, 12:15 p.m., 1:45, 3:15 and 4:45.
