Ribfest 2016 kicks off

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Pitmasters from all over are smokin’ up some good eats at this year’s Port City Ribfest.

The festival includes music, performances, beer, arts and crafts and of course barbecue.

From brisket to ribs there’s something for all barbecue lovers.

Christine Hanson, who is a vendor from Florida, said she has no complaints about the Ribfest so far.

“Meeting all the great people, obviously making some sales and enjoying some great barbecue,” said Hanson.

Ribfest began Friday and will continue through the weekend.
