WPD: Cabby attacked and robbed

Summary: Responding to a call for a robbery of a Yellow Cab driver, a WPD officer found the victim lying in the road. The victim said he picked a fare up from Front and Walnut Streets, heading to a destination in the 1000 block S. 6th Street. When they reached Wright Street, the male passenger asked the driver to let him out. While the driver was involved in conversation about the fare, a second man came up to the cab, and both men (the “fare” and the newcomer) attacked the cab driver and took his money.
