Teacher wins national award

A national honor for a New Hanover County teacher. Ann Hughes has been named National Adapted Physical Education Teacher of the Year.

The award comes from the Alliance for Athletics, Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.

Hughes will be honored later this month at the national convention in Indianapolis.
