Man shot outside bar near UNCW

A man is in the hospital after being shot outside a bar near UNCW early this morning.

Wilmington police say they were already at Sandbar on South College Road because of an unruly crowd leaving the bar. Just after 2 a.m. officers heard gunshots in the alley next to the bar, where they found a man on the ground. Witnesses say he was shot during a fight with an unknown white man in his 20s.
