Wilmington Bypass work to resume soon

Work is scheduled to start soon on another section of the Wilmington Bypass. The state awarded a nearly $82 million contract today to build a six-mile section of I-140 in Brunswick County with the help of some federal stimulus money. It will go from NC 87 north to US 74/76. Work could begin by the end of the month and be done by summer 2013.

The state will also spend more than $3 million to resurface US 17 in Brunswick County from Zion Church Road south to US 17 Business. That project should run from April to December.
