WPD makes heroin bust
WILMINGTON – WPD detectives executed a search warrant Friday night at 1108 Zinnia Court, based on an investigation resulting from a citizen complaint. Drugs were seized during the operation and five people were arrested. In addition, DSS was notified due to the presence of a young child in the household.
During the search, detectives located 65 bags of heroin (estimated street value of $1300), over 1/2 ounce of marijuana, more than $6000 cash, a handgun, and several items used for packaging and distributing the drugs.
The following people were charged with Trafficking Heroin, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Maintaining a Dwelling for Drugs, Possession of Heroin within 1000 Feet of a Park, and Child Abuse:
Erica Lynette Jacobs, d.o.b. 8/11/1972 – $105,000 bond
Kedeem Deshay Jacobs, d.o.b.7/11/1990 – $100,000 bond
Quintel Tyshawn Jacobs, d.o.b. 2/22/1992 – $100,000 bond
Jerontae Jenair Tatum, d.o.b. 9/7/1977 – $100,000 bond
Rashad Jamel Jacobs, d.o.b. 11/14/1987 – $100,000 bond
Rashad Jacobs faces the additional charges of Possession with Intent to Sell Marijuana and Manufacture Marijuana. All five arrestees are still in custody at the New Hanover County detention facility.
