Wilmington woman wins playing Mega Millions

Anita Jones of Wilmington may soon be on a trip to Cancun or Jamaica thanks to the $250,000 she won playing Mega Millions.

Her ticket matched all five white balls in the March 9 drawing. Jones told lottery officials that she’d like to take a vacation with her winnings and those are two places she’s considering. She also plans to help her family and donate to charity.

Jones purchased her ticket at the Castle Hayne EZ Mart on Castle Hayne Road in Wilmington. She received $170,000 after state and federal withholdings.
