Town of Leland provides encrypted wireless connectivity
BRUNSWICK COUNTY – Leland, The Gateway to Brunswick County has partnered with Opterex to provide a Gateway to Technology for residents and the local business community as well as for mission critical town infrastructure and public safety needs through the official launch of the LelandCONNECT Encrypted Wireless dome.
LelandCONNECT provides a robust and intuitive wireless network in a secure and encrypted environment enabling streaming data access to existing Town services as well as support for IP ( Internet Protocol ) based Data, Voice and Video services throughout the Town limits and surrounding areas.

LelandCONNECT will be officially launched and available through Opterex for all local private citizen and business community users’ effective Friday, March 26, 2010. In addition, LelandCONNECT will facilitate a separate WiFi “hot-spot” for use free-of-charge to all users at the Leland Town Hall complex as well as the adjacent park during normal hours of operation.
