BREAKING: Chatham County Courthouse burning

PITTSBORO, N.C. (AP) – Firefighters are battling a major fire at
a county courthouse in North Carolina.

Chatham County officials said Thursday that everyone working in
the building was evacuated safely. Firefighters responded to the
scene before 5 p.m. and continue to battle flames and smoke that
are billowing from the rooftop.

The courthouse has been under renovation and is covered in
scaffolding. County officials said they do not have specific
information on the cause of the fire.
