WRAPP Announces First Annual Mother’s Day 5k/1 Mile Fun Run

Wilmington’s Residential Adolescent Achievement Place (WRAPP) will present its first annual Mother’s Day 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run, at 8am at Greenfield Lake on May 9, 2010, starting from the tennis courts on the north side, near the corner of 3rd and Greenfield Streets. All proceeds from the Mother’s Day race will benefit WRAP. Register as a mom and receive $5 off your entry fee! Runners may register online at Active.com under Mother’s Day 5k.

WRAAP is a nonprofit, after-school enrichment program, operating out of Williston Middle School and funded by a grant from the Department of Instruction as a “21st Century Community Learning Center.” Its primary purpose is to offer early prevention programming for at-risk youths in order to reduce or eliminate juvenile court involvement and early school dropout.
