Columbus Co. convict walks away from work crew

The search is on for an inmate with local ties who walked away from a litter road crew near in Cleveland County. Nathan E. Tyler was serving a year and eight months at Lincoln Correctional Center on robbery and breaking and entering convictions in Columbus County.

Investigators say Tyler walked away just before noon today as the crew worked on Highway 150 near Shelby. If you know where he is call law enforcement.
