Visitors take a trip through Historic Homes

Stepping inside and stepping back in time, countless people toured Wilmington’s historic homes this weekend.

Nine homes in the historic downtown area were showcased as part of the historic homes tour. Each home was fully staffed with historians who helped to guide the visitors through the homes as well as answer any questions about the property.

“The Homes Tour has been fabulous,” says homeowner Kathy Wilson. “The weather’s perfect. Everybody’s turned out. Everybody is so appreciative and we’re so glad that they’re supporting the Historic Wilmington Foundation. Its wonderful.”

The proceeds from the tour go to benefit the Historic Wilmington Foundation, which helps to protect and preserve the historic properties of the Port City.
