Winstead wins Coastal Entrepreneur Award

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Greater Wilmington Business Journal named its 2010 Coastal Entrepreneur. Loadmatch Logistics owner Gary Winstead was awarded the honor at the annual Entrepreneur Awards breakfast at UNCW today.

There were 10 entrepreneurs in the running for the title. Winstead says he did not expect to win.

“The other companies are great companies,” Winstead said. “What they do and the technology they have, never in my wildest dreams did I think they would view our business and our marketplace worthy of this award over the other award winners.”

The ten entrepreneurs were individual winners in categories ranging from health care to non-profit.
