Pender man facing child sex charges
PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Rocky Point man is facing several child sex charges following an investigation by the Pender County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a report, 30-year-old Antonio DeJesus Martinez Hernandez was arrested on Wednesday after a brief investigation by the Pender County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Support Division School Resource Officer Unit.
That investigation uncovered alleged illegal conduct with a minor.
Hernandez is charged with one count of Statutory Rape and one count of Indecent Liberties with a Child.
He made his first court appearance on Thursday and is being held under a $500,000 bond and an ICE detainer. His next court appearance is May 15th.
