PET PALS: 4-month-old German Shepherd mix

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Looking to add a playful puppy to your family? Look no further than this 4-month-old female German Shepherd mix.

She is not yet named and is looking for her new home. This young puppy has a lot of energy, but already knows some commands, like sit. She’s mostly black with little white and brown patches. Stephen Watson with New Hanover County Animal Services tells us she’s not yet spayed, but is scheduled to get the procedure done today.

New Hanover County Animal Services will also be hosting a FREE rabies clinic this Saturday, Oct. 1. This is for cats, dogs, and ferrets! The event runs from 9 to 11 a.m. at 180 Division Road Wilmington. Remember to bring proof of previous rabies vaccinations to get the three year, otherwise your pet can only get the one year vaccination. Paid County tags will also be available at the event. They are required by law and not just a suggestion.
