Case#: 2010-019761
Time: 7:09 a.m. – Monday morning
Location: 1000 block N 30th Street
Offense: Assault / communicating threats
Summary: The male victim, age 46, said he was driving to his residence on N. 30th Street when several men in a newer model black Jeep pursued him and blocked him in. When the men jumped out of their vehicle and came toward him, the victim backed up to try to get away, hitting the curb and flattening a tire on his car.
The victim said another man rode up on a burgundy moped and punched him in the head. The victim said he used a steak knife he had in his car to stab his attacker in the chest so he would not be hit again. He drove back down 30th Street to get away, and the men in the Jeep followed him. But when they heard the victim calling 911, they drove away.
The victim told officers that the men had been yelling that they were going to kill him and that he did not belong there. He said that he has been harassed in the Creekwood neighborhood for the last year. He told officers he believes he was targeted because he is a cross dresser and has an alternative life style.
