Bullet wakes woman up

Time: 3:42 a.m. – Saturday morning
Location: 600 Block of N. 30th Street
Offense: Discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling

Summary: The female victim, age 54, was awakened by the sound of gunshots. When she checked her residence, she saw that one round had entered through her second floor window, then struck a television and lodged in a wall.

The woman who lives in the next apartment also reported that a round came through an outer wall, and then struck a dresser in the bedroom before falling on the floor. Bystanders outside the apartment were talking among themselves but were unwilling to provide information to police officers at the scene.
