Holden Beach bank robber nabbed

It didn’t take long for law enforcement officers to bust a Brunswick County bank robber. Karilyn Neely of Oak Island was arrested Monday afternoon with one count of armed robbery.

Investigators say Neely robbed the Waccamaw Bank on Holden Beach Road in Holden Beach around 4:45pm. Police spotted Neely’s Chevy Tahoe on Stone Chimney Road around 5:15pm. They surrounded the suspect’s vehicle and arrested Neely. Her bond is set at $100,000. Neely is locked in the Brunswick County jail.
