Two groups merge to encourage families to come downtown

WILMINGTON (WWAY) – The Wilmington Children’s Museum and the Hanna Block Center are coming together to bring more families downtown. The two non-profits teamed up to provide a kids concert Thursday afternoon. Grammy Award winner Ralph Covert entertained the kids…and the parents.

“We’re excited to be working together to get families and children downtown and to Second and Orange,” said Jennifer Czechlewski from the Hannah Block Center. “We’re both reasonably new to the corner and this is such a resource for our neighborhood, for our county, for our city,” added Rick Lawson of the Children’s Museum”

The two non-profits hope their partnership will help increase memberships and sponsorships to both organizations. By joining together they’ll also be able to share resources for concerts like the one today.
