Diver dies while working at Carolina Beach marina

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) – A man working at Joyner Marina as a diver died while underwater.

It happened yesterday around 1 p.m.

Carolina Beach police say the diver’s coworker called in a distress call.

Police say there are no signs of anything suspicious at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

No word yet on the diver’s identity. Police are still working to notify the entire family.
