Was Brunswick County negligent?

In Brunswick County, a lawsuit’s been filed charging the county was negligent and caused some 20 inmates in the jail to come down with tuberculosis.

The documents say an inmate with TB was processed into the jail in October 2008 and even though he showed signs of being sick, he wasn’t tested.

Once housed in a cell, he then infected 20 other inmates in the cellblock.

Bruce Robinson, the attorney behind the lawsuit, says it’s just one of many to come.
