Carolina Beach wrapping up hurricane debris removal

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) – If you live in Carolina Beach and still have Hurricane Matthew debris, you need to have it set out by this Sunday.

Carolina Beach says it will be transitioning back to the regular yard debris removal schedule beginning Monday. After this, hurricane vegetative debris will be collected during the regular debris removal week. All areas will be serviced on their normal debris week, which may be over the next 4 weeks.

Vegetative debris may include a combination of bundles and/or bags meeting the following criteria:

  • Bundles shall consist of limbs and shrubs no longer than four feet in length and no more than six inches in diameter.
  • Only paper bags shall be utilized.
  • Bundles and bags shall be 50 pounds or less each

The town asks that you do not place any debris on utilities such as meter boxes, cable boxes, manholes, etc.
