Holly Shelter Gun Range grand opening

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Holly Shelter Gun Range is having it’s grand opening ceremony and ribbon cutting tomorrow.

The ceremony is hosted by the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission and Pender County. The ribbon cutting is tomorrow at 10:30 A.M..

If you attend, you are welcome to bring your firearm and use the range following the ceremony.

Starting Saturday, the range will be open to the public Wednesday through Saturday from 8:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. and on Sunday from 1:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M.. The range will be closed Mondays and Tuesdays. The general public, shooting sports teams, and law enforcement for practice, training, and recreation. A daily pass is $5.

The range is located at 8718 Shaw Highway in Rocky Point, has a 200-yard rifle range with 12 shooting stations, a 50-yard pistol range with 12 shooting stations, a target archery range, and a 20-station 3D archery course.

Pender County will staff the range with safety officers and over see operation and maintenance.
