CFPUA urges water conservation

NEW HANOVER COUNTY – Please be reminded that a critical construction phase of construction is occurring today and that all customers have been asked to conserve water. During this construction, some customers are experiencing discoloration.

Discoloration is a normal occurrence during these types of construction projects. Customers are urged to refrain from running water to clear discoloration at this time; running water puts additional demand on the facility when the facility is at a reduced capacity. Please urge all customers to be patient during this process and to continue to be conscientious of their water use and practice voluntary conservation. Otherwise, increased demand on the facility during this period of reduced capacity will result in mandatory conservation restrictions.
